From the functioning point of view we have a standard system. The water is filtered and it goes out once passed through all filters. But where the system excels is when you have to replace the cartridges.
We usually use our key, unscrew the vessel, spray water all around, change the cartridges, screw all over again, we notice that it’s leaking, we tighten up again and we’re done. In this system, though, we twist it counter-clockwise, take out the cartridge, take another one and twist to tighten. Anything else. Any water around. In a word: fantastic.
The system is perfect both for fresh water and marine aquariums.

Technical characteristics of the Aqpet Osmosy Twist osmosis plant
Technically speaking the Aqpet Osmosy Twist it’s an three-stage osmosis plant, the filtration, the active carbons and the membrane. The osmosis membrane is of 50 gallons a day, that’s 7,7 liters per hour of water production in ideal conditions.
The whole plant has a price of 69,99 euro for the market. And we think it’s more than adequate for this kind of article.
And between us, a colorful plant like that is very beautiful. Ok, it doesn’t affect the water prodution, but I prefer having beautiful things around me, instead of those ugly osmosis plant we’re used to see. A plant like this one could also have a very high WAF.
Do you wonder what “WAF” stands for? It’s the Wife Acceptance Factor, so I could even install the plant in the bathroom without many objections by my wife… maybe…
Content of the packaging
the packaging is complete and there’s all the necessary for easily installing the plant.
Inside the box there’s the osmosis plant already mounted, the pipes, the plug for cleaning the membrane (that in Aqpet call flush valve) and the joint for the water supply if you have a threaded faucet.
The limits of Osmosy Twist
The Osmosy Twist system is spectacular, I really like the fast release they created, but it’s good for a request of 4-5 liters per hour in conditions of medium effort, and a value in exit of 5-15 TDS. To go further we would need to take a fourth stage with a resin cartridge and even with a TDS relevator, things that we could add easily.
In fact, we have a inlet and outlet pipe, so it’d be easy to be cut and to insert two electrodes… And we would have also a live TDS reading.
I’m sure that Aqpet will, sooner or later, release a more complete plant with four stages, but it will have a different price for sure.
Recommendations

In any case we suggest you to place the cartridges with this scheme: active carbons – microfiltration – membrane, to prevent the active carbons from ruining the membrane.
