Today we continue our reportage about the Zoomark stopping at the beautiful stand of Teco, Italian company specialized in manufacturing aquarium chillers.
In the picture we see from left Alice Risi, sales manager, Massimo Turci, owner and passionate hobbyist, DaniReef, AndreaNegu and Giuseppe while discussing the news of summer 2011, the E-chill of which we have spoken in recent days.
In the stand are all the chillers that are in white livery this year instead of the gray we were used, then there are all new E-chill as we expected, and also several bright objects, I do not know how else to call them which could furnish our aquariums … um … indeed those of the others … I do not think into mine 😉Massimo’s passion is also seen when explaining “his” latest products
But let’s start with news of the year, seen in Nuremberg, and now finally ready to enter the market, we are talking about the fabulous E-chill.
Yes, I say fabulous, because I can not wait to get their hands on … each is capable of blowing up 150mc to air! Almost more than my old tangential fan as it moved “only”120 mc, but in a completely different package … another thing!
Here we see the biggest of the 3 E-chill, which, unlike those shown in Nuremberg, no longer pull out the control group, which was designed with a cable, but has a new remote for remote control. You can see the three speed settings for the fans as well as the ability to set the temperature.
In the picture above you notice the small remote control that replicates each command can be set on the unit. E-chill has not only a setting on the power of fans, who remember is 150 cubic meters per hour, but it has a float which serves to check that there is not too much evaporation in the tank and can turn off E-chill below a certain level and also activates an alarm if the water level drops too much. The beauty of this system is that it is not packed with the E-chill but you can physically disconnect from the unit to put in sump. We see this system has been designed by hobbyists for hobbyists … among other things, talking to Massimo discover that the surprises do not end here, it will also present a tools with automatic refilling to work with E-chill and their coolers. I have, therefore, to congratulate Teco and hope to soon get my hands on this little gem.
Over here you can see the E-chill functioning into a test tank where we could play with the various settings that can be activated either directly or through the convenient remote control.
The prices that we have discussed ranged from the smallest unit € 150, and 180 for one with 2 fans to finish with 210 for one to three fans.
