We tested in depth the Big World BQ-5000L, imported in Italy by Corallinea. (qui l’articolo in italiano).
For the hydraulic head we used the usual static method, but as the BQ-5000L is said to have a 5 m head we had to move things around a bit. For the flow rate we used a flow meter, for the power consumption our current probe meter and the phonometer for the noise.
What stands out about the Corallinea BQ-5000L is its complete chinese manufacturing and the really competitive price at which is sold.

Manufacture
The pump is really just itself, it doesn’t have a sophisticated package, or at least we didn’t get one! The accessories are reduced to a minimum.
We have the pump, the power supply and the suction cups for holding it at the sump bottom. Nothing else.
We deassembled the pump like ever.
We didn’t understand if the two plastic parts screwed or glued together. To avoid breaking the pump we didn’t force it too much.
To find the impeller you have to rotate the cover.
