There are products which you fall in love with. Seachem Digital Spoon Scale is one of them (qui la recensione in italiano).
The scale can weigh up to 300 grams of product, with increases on the order of a tenth of a gram, or 0.1 g. Indeed, and unfortunately, it is not precise enough for the Chocolate method that we talked about few months ago (sorry only italian article for now), if not talking about pretty large aquariums, where the precision of a tenth of a gram is enough.
There is no need to tare, although it is an expected feature, because the special spoon shaped terminal is perfect to hold directly the content of a package avoiding to drop it on the sides. Theoretically you could even use as spoon to take some content directly from the container. But to do it you have to switch on it before in order to set it on zero, and of course while doing it you’ll have to be very careful to don’t strain on the pin too much in order to avoid problems to the small scale .

It works in a very simple way because it has only three key buttons and the digital display.
The three key buttons are mode, on-off tare and hold.
With the key mode you can choose the unit of measure in grams or ounces.
The on-off speaks for itself. If of course you put a container on the scale and then you turned on, it will work for as tare and will be set as zero of the system. But beware because the Digital Spoon Scale will always measure a maximum of 300 grams, so you’ll have to remove the tare weight from its real measurement. If, for example you use a glass of 200 grams as an additional container, then the scale would arrive to weigh just another 100 grams, because the sum of both would arrive at the maximum value supported by the device.
The hold key keeps on the display the weighted value of the product, even once it is removed, or modified.
