Rossmont was at his first appearance at Interzoo of Nuremberg, and judging by the people who was continuously crowding the booth, it was a great first time!
Currently Rossmont has in its catalogue different stream pumps models from 3400 L/h (= 900gph US models) to 15200 L/h (= 4100gph US models), all AC powered, and a few months ago they introduced to the world the Rossmont Waver (our preview here), an advanced wireless controller that allows users to adjust the flow rate of the pumps exactly as if they were DC powered.
This solution has the great advantage to let people use their own pumps (without the need of a DC one), by buying the controller only. Furthermore, as we learned by Rossmont staff, other new modules will soon come out with the possibility to interact with the Waver and these ones will allow the opportunity to control many accessories that will come out in the short future, starting from return pumps to skimmer pumps (which are also indicated on the back of Waver’s box) up to the use of test devices (pH? Redox? Density?), lamps, multisockets, and many more.
Therefore the Rossmont booth was completely dedicated to Waver, to its control and to the stream pumps in action into their tank.
We’re testing a full black Waver, but we have to admit that even the white one looks fine, and probably it will be more easy to integrate it within white furniture.
It was really fascinating to see both controllers on two different sides of the same tank, one completely white and one completely black.
The front screen was showing the web interface, and you could see two curves, the one blue and the other yellow, which were indicating the flow rate of the two connected pumps. In addition to those ones, the blue and the red bands were indicating the presets (additional effects) inserted in those precise hours.
The web interface is one of the features of the Waver controller shown at Rossmont booth. Actually the choice of the company has been to invest on a unique, scalable, immediately ready interface and available for any device, a computer, a Mac, a smartphone, a tablet either. Immediately ready and powerful… adjustable with your fingers or mouse.
Here above we see one of the pumps in action, controlled by Waver. We remind you that we have already tested two pumps here on DaniReef, the Mover M5800 (= M1500 US version) and the Mover MX15200 (= MX4100 US version) with excellent impressions in both cases. Quiet and powerful pumps.
We can admire its low profile in the water and the efficient water inlets on the sides.
