In fact, the Dutch booth included Philips, AquaFlora and in particular DeJong MarineLife. And the new Philips were ready to lit the beautiful marine aquarium by DeJong.
The sight was, as always, incredible, as you can also see from some pictures in this article, and wait for the next days to see our exclusive movie in 4k.
Coming back to the ceiling lights, the Philips CoralCare maintain their premises of the first line. You can see their measurements in our article. They still have the same shape, but there’s an extra concession to the aesthetics. Now you can choose between three colours, not only grey, but also black and white.
However, the main difference is the kind of LED. In fact, Philips asked for the costumers preferences, and directed the coloration towards the blue. Many costumers pointed out that they lowered the white gradation in their aquariums in order to obtain a more pleasant lighting.
In order to show this Philips installed three ceiling lights (one for available colour). One was the old one, and the other two were the new models. In this way was possible to appreciate the difference between the two versions of the ceiling light.
The white balance of my camera in the three solutions may not let the chromatic difference of the models emerge.
The ceiling light on the left was centered on the blue light, and under them there were 5 phials with coloured sand. In this way was easy to see how the different pigmentations stand out thanks to the ceiling light.
We liked the presentation very much. Sure, maybe comparing the performances of the old and the new model would have been more useful. So that would have been directly possible to see the differences without moving the phials. But these one, as always, are just little details.
DeJong MarineLife’s tank – preview
The aquarium, as always, was simply spectacular, and as you can see here above, it didn’t save the use of lamps. 12 Philips CoralCare, indeed!
Let’s see some corals in detail…
You know, we really like the Philips, and we think that this upgrade, both about the colour of the ceiling light and the gradation, it’s a huge step towards the improvement of a product that was already great.
In addiction, the power supply is inside the chassis and that’s a particular bonus. It means less heat left in sump, if it will be contained inside the piece of furniture as the major part of the users surely does. And, most of all, it’s a perfect external ventilation, that makes them work always in their ideal range of temperature.
