Elos was hosted inside the Giesemann booth at Interzoo 2018, and that deprived us of the beautiful booths that we have always linked to the brand.

This Interzoo as well, Elos tried to leave its mark, with the launch of its own line FrescoFood. It is a feed for aquarium fish packed in 100 grams jars. One jar contains chironomus, one contains cyclops and one shrimp.
Elos FrescoFood – canned feed
This feed’s distinctive trait is that it is a fresh feed, vacuum-sealed, but neither frozen nor deep-frozen. Until the jar is kept closed and intact, the feed can be kept outside the refrigerator for a long time. Since we are used to Elos‘s SVM2 feed, we can only believe that FrescoFood is a particularly qualitative feed.
FrescoFood‘s three elements come from organic natural crops, to increase their quality. From today on, we have the possibility to vary the nutritional diet of our fish through an aliment different from the usual granular or frozen one.
Personally, we can’t wait to try it directly.
Aquascaping in Elos
As usual Elos accustomed us to splendidly set up aquariums. This year it was the time for a small Aquascaping which you can see below and that highlighted the presence of an aerator different than usual.
As you can see, even if there was a CO2 distribution, there were no visible bubbles in the aquarium, thanks to the particular diffusor whose job was to blend CO2 and water outside the tank. As you can see from the following picture.
A really clever idea, as always for Elos.
The Elos Bashsea collaboration
Moving to the marine setting, we can see the results of the new collaboration between Elos and Bashsea. The last one is handling all the new sumps that will be provided with all of the gorgeous Elos aquariums.
Other than the sumps, some filters as well will be built by Bashsea.
In this pictures we can see a beautiful aquarium, and excuse me for the repetition, but the Elos tanks are really well made. Maybe I am a tad biased, since my aquarium also comes from Elos.
The difference between mine and the aquarium you can see in the pictures is the loading and unloading system, which consists in a little well positioned centrally in one of the two sides, with all the rigid pipes in orange PCV. A really pretty system to see. A way to add a classy touch to already beautiful aquariums.
A real feast for the eyes. The external well turns out to be less invasive in the aquarium and more beautiful than just exhaust pipes. Of course it is also more bulky since it fills the void space
Below you can see the peculiarity of the glass and the effect of the well.
Inside the aquarium we could also appreciate the convenient visor from above without being distracted from surface movements.
And you can catch a glimpse on the right of the container for the osmosis water with the practical serigraphs for the content.
As always, Elos hasn’t let us down, and FrescoFood is already in our thoughts…
