We met with Davide Robustelli, Amtra’s brand manager, at the Interzoo 2024 booth, where we had a great conversation and met Marco Baglioni, the new Specialized Consultant, a central figure in AMTRA’s new development.

There are two key aspects to AMTRA’s future development: increasing services for both users and retailers, and why not, for the environment. And a new role to help both users and retailers. Starting from a catalog that we can define as extensive and complete, covering all the needs of an average aquarist—more freshwater than marine, it must be said—it was right to reflect on how to improve the overall experience, and honestly, we at DaniReef believe the choice was spot on.

DropShipping from AMTRA

The first thing to talk about is Dropshipping. What does it mean? Let’s take the beautiful ALUX aquarium we see in the next image as an example. Until now, a customer would enter a store, choose their AMTRA aquarium, and probably the aquarium would need to be ordered. In this case, the order would go to AMTRA, the aquarium would be shipped to the store, and from there, the aquarist would be called to pick it up, or it would need to be shipped again.

The idea of Dropshipping is that from the moment of the order, AMTRA ships directly to the consumer’s home. Across all the Europe.

This is an advantage for the store, which doesn’t have to stock a large number of big aquariums, offering economic and space benefits, and many advantages for buyers. Shipping is faster. It’s better for the environment because one shipment is always better than two. And for the guarantee that fewer trips mean fewer problems for the aquarium.

Another service that AMTRA wants to offer its customers, whether they are retailers or aquarists, is the establishment of a new professional role. We are talking about a specialized consultant, in this case, Marco Baglioni, who will organize events with aquarists and explain new products to retailers. We are looking forward to learning more about these possible meetings, maybe even participating. We met Marco, and we liked him a lot, for the little we talked, and you can see him in the video interview. We met a person very passionate about the field, which can be beneficial for everyone.
